SUN, 29 JULY 2012 – Depart on Air France from Dulles Airport Washington, DC for overnight flight to ISRAEL. Dinner and movie on board.
MON, 30 JULY 2012 – Arrival in Paris after breakfast on board. Transfer to continuing Air France Flight to Tel Aviv and be met by our guide. Drive north along the Mediterranean coast and check into the Carmelite House, Stella Maris on Mount Carmel. Father will celebrate Mass before dinner and overnight. You'll have time for prayer and meditation in Elijah's cave.
TUE, 31 JULY 2012 – After breakfast, spend a day around the Sea of Galilee. Visit Jesus' second home town,Capernaum; the traditional site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha; the Primacy with Mensa Christi, and experience an included boat ride across the Sea of Galilee before we stop for lunch on the Mount of Beatitudes. Have time in the beautiful gardens before continuing on to Mount Tabor. Father will celebrate Mass on the site of Transfiguration and later we'll go to the Jordan River to Renew you Baptism. Check into to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.
WED, 1 AUG 2012 – Cross the street to Celebrate at the Grotto of the Annunciation, then visit St Joseph's Carpenter Shop and walk through the market to Mary's Well . After, enjoy a mid-East lunch (included). In the afternoon, we'll drive down to Cana where Father will celebrate Mass and couples may renew their wedding vows! Return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.
THU, 2 AUG 2012 – After breakfast, Father will celebrate Mass before it's time to depart the Galilee. Drive south along the Jordan Rift to Jericho where we see the Mount Of Temptations.
Father will celebrate Mass before we continue to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Have time to “float” in the Dead Sea before we drive up to Jerusalem and check into out hotel for dinner and overnight.
FRI, 3 AUG 2012 – After breakfast, we'll start on the top of The Mount of Olives and walk down to visit the Ascension Mosque, the Carmelite "Our Father" convent, Domus Flevit where Jesus' wept over the city and Gethesamane.
Continue to Bethlehem where Jesus was born. We'll have a special included lunch before visiting the oldest church in the world, the Nativity Church. Later Father will celebrate Mass in a cave in Shepherd's Field and we'll have time to shop in one of the Christian stores before returning to Jerusalem.
SAT, 4 AUG 2012 – After breakfast, drive to Ein Karim to visit the site of the baptism of Saint John the Baptist before we walk up to the Visitiation Church where Father will celebrate Mass.
After lunch, we stop by the Israeli Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and a 1/50th scale model of the city of Jerusalem at the time of Christ.
Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
SUN, 5 AUG 2012 – After breakfast, walk through the Old City to Mount Zion and the Upper Room for prayer. Visit Dormition Abbey where "Mary Slept" and then Father will celebrate Mass at the Franciscan property of the Cenacle.
After lunch, we visit Saint Peter in Gallicantu where Christ was held by the high priest. Time for personal prayer before returning to the Old City. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
MON, 6 AUG 2012 – After breakfast, we'll walk down through the Old City to the Jewish Quarter and visit the Western Wall. We can pray at and leave our petitions in the Wall. After, walk up onto the Temple Mount where Jesus taught and prayed; where he was presented by his parents after birth; where he was tempted by the Devil to throw himself down; and, where he was angered by the money changers. Today on this Moslem property we find the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. We pass the closed Golden Gate as we leave. Enter the White Father’s property to find The Pools of Bethesdaand Crusader church of St. Ann’s where Father will celebrate Mass.
A rest and lunch break before we begin the Via Dolorosa in the afternoon. Enter Herod’s Gate (the Eye of the Needle) and begin walking up the stations to Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre. Join the Franciscans Benediction and have free time before dinner at the hotel.
TUE, 7 AUG 2012 - Mass at the Tomb of Our Lord in the Holy Sepulchre. FREE DAY. A special Farewell Dinner is planned tonight!
WED, 8 AUG 2012 – Time to drive to Tel Aviv Airport and our flights to return us home with many memories to Give Thanks and Remember.
