THR. FEB 15 - Arrive Israel: Mt. Carmel, Nazareth
Breakfast on board before we arrive in Tel Aviv at 9:15 AM. After Passport Control and Customs, continue north along the Mediterranean Sea coast to Caesarea Maritime. Here where St.Paul was imprisioned for 2 years and where the first gentiles were baptised, we read The Word. Continue to Cana to celebrate Mass and renew wedding vows for our couples and then on to Nazareth. Walk through the market of Nazareth to the well where Mary often went to draw water. We'll visit St. Joseph’s carpenter shop, the Franciscan Museum, and the Church of the Annunciation before checking into Casa Nova for dinner and overnight.
FRI. FEB 16 - SEA OF GALILEE AREA
Depart for the the Sea of Galilee. Recalling when Jesus calmed the storm and called Peter to walk on water to Him, take a boat across the lake to Caphernaum where Jesus called St. Peter and many of the other apostles. Visit the Synagogue where He healed and taught. Have lunch with the Italian Sisters in their convent on the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee before we go to the Primacy where He confirmed St. Peter’s mandate after His resurrection, and to Tabgha where he fed the 5000.
In the afternoon, drive to Mount Tabor, where we'll transfer to taxis and go up to celebrate Mass and have time to mediate on The Transfiguration where Jesus revealed His Glory. Drive to the Jordan Baptismal site to renew our baptismal promises and then return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.
SAT. FEB 17 . - CHURCH OF ANNUNCIATION. CROSS BRIDGE INTO JORDAN
Walk across the street to the Church of the Annunciation to celebrate Mass where The Word Became Flesh before returning to Casa Nova for breakfast.
We pack up and drive south to the King Hussein Bridge and entering the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Drive south to Pella to visit the site of one of Christianity's earliest churches. It was a refuge for Jerusalem Christians in the 1st century who were fleeing the Great Jewish Revolt. Continue to Amman for dinner and overnight.
SUN. FEB 18 - MT. NEBO AND PETRA
After breakfast, drive up to Mt. Nebo, overlooking the Promised Land in the area where Moses died. Celebrate Mass at the Franciscan Chapel and have some time to visit a local glass blower before going to continuing south into the desert and Petra, legendary city of the Bedouins. Walk into the Siq and see the magnificent Treasury rise up between the rock walls. The rock-carved rose-red city of Petra is full of mysterious charm, it was "designed to strike wonder into all who entered it". Check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.
MON. FEB 19 - ALLENBY BRIDGE, DEAD SEA, JERUSALEM
After breakfast, drive north to the Allenby Bridge and enter the Holy Land of Israel. Visit Qumran to learn more about the Dead Sea Scrolls and where they were found. After lunch, have time to experience ‘floating’ in the Dead Sea if you wish before we continue up to Jerusalem to check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. NOTE: If possible, we will visit Jericho to see the Mount of Temptations and remember where Jesus healed the blind beggar, and ate with Zacchaeus the Tax Collector. We'll also drive into Wadi Qelt to see the Valley of the Shadow of Death and remember the 40 days of Temptations that Jesus experienced.
TUE. FEB 20 - MT. OF OLIVES. VIA DOLOROSA

THR FEB 22 - JERUSALEM: Western Wall, Temple Mount FREE AFTERNOON
After breakfast, we’ll walk down through the Old City to the Western Wall to place any prayer requests between the ancient stones of the Temple. See the young men who are being Bar Mitzvah this day and then walk up on the Temple Mount. Here is where Mary and Joseph met Anna and Simeon when Jesus was a baby; where the young Jesus taught the priests; where the devil told Jesus to throw himself from the corner parapet; and, where he threw the money changers from. Leave by a side door and visit St. Ann's and the Sheep Pools where Jesus healed the man who had laid there for 38 years, before leaving the Old City by the Sheep Gate where St. Stephen was stoned.
A FREE AFTERNOON to wander, shop or relax.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
FRI. FEB 23: JERUSALEM AND BETHLEHEM

In the afternoon, drive out to Bethlehem to visit Christianity's oldest church, the Church of the Nativity. Touch the star which marks the place where Mary laid during delivery and the manger where she laid the baby. Stop in the Chapel of the Holy Innocents to remember all the children that Herod killed. In the Chapel of St. Jerome, the saint worked to translate the bible into the Vulgate. Pray in the Chapel of St. Catherine where the Midnight Mass is televised around the world and then drive down to Shepherd's Field to celebrate Mass. We'll enjoy a very special traditional farewell dinner in a Beduoin tent in Bethlehem before returning to Jerusalem to pack up our treasures.
