Dedicated Pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal - 7 days
DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM USA
DAY 2: Arrival in LISBON, PORTUGAL
Have a tour of the city which includes St. Jeronimos Monastery and the Royal Coaches Museum in Lisbon, as well as the Belem Tower. See the huge statue of Christ in Majesty which stands looking over the city to bless it. Stop at the Church of St. Anthony of Lisbon (and Padua) to celebrate Mass before going to the hotel.
DAY 3: LISBON - SANTAREM - FATIMA
Mass in St. Stephen’s where the Eucharistic Miracle is exposed over the altar. Have an opportunity to venerate this precious relic close up. Continue north to Fatima. Check into the hotel and have a quick orientation of the Esplande and Cova da Iria before dinner. Join the rosary procession in the Esplande after dinner.
DAY 4: FATIMA
Enjoy a wonderful day learning more about this special village of Fatima. Celebrate Mass and then have a tour of the Basilica where the tombs of Francisco and Jacinta are located. In the afternoon, pray the Stations of the Cross to include the site of the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace”. In the evening, after dinner, join pilgrims from around the world in the nightly rosary procession.
DAY 5: FATIMA
Visit the villages of Aljustrel and Valinhos where Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia grew up. Enter into the homes where they learned their prayers with their families. Mass in their Parish Church. In the afternoon, be free to shop or wander, or rest. In the evening, join the rosary procession .
DAY 6: FATIMA - COIMBRA
A day trip to Coimbra to celebrate Mass at the Convent where Sister Lucia now resides. Return to Fatima in the afternoon and after dinner bid “Adeus” to Our Lady at the Rosary Procession before we prepare to depart tomorrow for home.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE
After an early Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions, we’ll bid a fond farewell to Fatima and return to Lisbon flight home. Depart with memories to Give Thanks and Remember.
