10 day ITINERARY to

POLAND AND CZECHOSLOVAKIA

 

 

DAY 1     USA-POLAND

            Departure from your hometown to Poland

DAY 2     WARSAW

After breakfast on board, arrival in Warsaw and meet our local guide who will be with us for the entire trip in Poland.  Celebrate Mass at the convent where Saint Faustina first joined the religious order and then  visit the Holy Cross church located on the historic "Royal Way", where Chopin's heart is preserved in one of the pillars and St. Stanislaus Church.   Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

DAY 3     WARSAW-CZESTOCHOWA-KRAKOW

   

        After breakfast, travel to Czestochowa , site of Poland 's greatest pilgrimage shrine, Our Lady of       
        Czestochowa.  Visit Jasna Gorna Monastery, known as the Shrine of The Black Madonna
        Celebrate Mass at the Pauline Monastery and venerate the priceless treasures contained within,
        including the Miraculous Icon. Have time for yourself before go to Krakow.   Dinner and overnight in

        Krakow

 

DAY 4      KRAKOW - LAGIEWNIKI -DIVINE MERCY

 

        After breakfast, drive to Lagiewniki for a full day where St. Faustina lived and is buried at the Convent
        of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy
.  Celebrate Mass and have an introduction to the area by one of
        the Sisters. Free time for personal reflection before we  pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet with the Sisters. 

        Return to Krakow for dinner.

 

DAY 5     KRAKOW

 

        After breakfast, celebrate Mass at the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary and then enjoy a city tour  
        including
 Cloth Hall and the famous Wawel Castle which houses the Cathedral where the Polish
        Monarchs are buried.  A free afternoon to shop or wander at your leisure.   After dinner, be entertained by
        local Folklore Dancers.

 

DAY 6     KRAKOW-AUSCHWITZ - WADOVICE -KALWARIE

 

        After breakfast, a day trip to Auschwitz , the notorious Nazi concentration camp. Visit St Maximillian
        Kolbe's cell
and the
Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. In the afternoon we will
        drive to Wadowice, the town where John Paul II, the first Polish Pope, was born and spent his youth.  
        Celebrate Mass

        at the church where the Holy Father prayed as a youth and celebrated as a new priest.   On the way we
        will stop at Karlowarie. Dinner and overnight in
Krakow
.

 

DAY 7     KRAKOW-PRAGUE

 

        After breakfast leave Poland and enter Czechoslovakia, for the enchanting city of Prague "The Golden
        City of
a Hundred Spires."   Dinner and overnight in Prague
 

 

DAY 8     PRAGUE

    After breakfast,  celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady Victorious, venerate the celebrated statue of the infant Jesus. Enjoy a tour of Old Town by way of Golden Lane and then to Lessor Town to see the medieval Charles Bridge adorned with many baroque statues. We will see St Nicholas Church, the Astronomic Clock, and the Prague Castle district where we tour  St George Basilica, Loreto Church, Strahov Monastery, and Wenceslas Square. Dinner and Overnight in Prague .

DAY 9    PRAGUE

 

        After breakfast,  a free day to wander Prague as you will.  A special farewell Mass at St. Vitus

        Cathedral.  Dinner and overnight in Prague

 

DAY 10   PRAGUE-USA

 

        After breakfast, transfer to the airport for our international flight home

        with many memories to Give Thanks and Remember.
