Day 1 - USA/ITALY

            Gather in departure cities for overnight flight to Italy.

             Dinner and movie on board.

Day 2 - ROME/ ASSISI

            Arrive in Rome.  Welcome by our local guide and driver.

            Transfer to Assisi for lunch. 

            An introduction to the city of St. Francis and St. Clare before

            we celebrate Mass.  Check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - ASSISI

            After Mass at the Tomb of St. Francis, have a  half-day walking tour of Assisi.

            Enjoy a free afternoon to wander, rest or shop before dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - ASSISI/ CASCIA/ LORETO

            After breakfast, depart for Cascia to visit the Monastery of the Augustinians

            where St. Rita lived and died as a nun.  Pray at her tomb where her incorrupt

            body has lain since 1457.  Celebrate Mass at the Chapel of the 14th Century

            Eucharistic Miracle of Cascia.  Continue to Loreto for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - LORETO/LANCIANO/SAN GIOVANNI ROTUNDO

             After breakfast, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Loreto and have time to pray in

            the Holy House of Nazareth.  Continue south to Lanciano to celebrate Mass in

            the Chapel of the First Eucharistic Miracle of the Catholic Church, dating back

            to the 8th century.  Continue to San Giovanni Rotundo for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - SAN GIOVANNI ROTUNDO

            After breakfast, celebrate Mass in the Chapel where Saint Padre Pio  and

            learn more about the Little Capuchin's life of piety and prayer.  In the afternoon, visit

            Sant Angelo, the cave where St. Michael, the Archangel visited. 

            Return to San Giovanni Rotundo for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - SAN GIOVANNI ROTUNDO/ MONE CASSINO/ ROME

             After breakfast, depart for Monte Cassino to celebrate Mass in the Abbey of

             St.  Benedict.   Visit the massive monastery where St. Benedict and St.

             Scholastica   lived and  died.  In the afternoon, we continue to Rome for dinner and

             overnight.

Day 8 - ROME

            After breakfast, a full day tour of Christian Rome.  Celebrate Mass in either

            St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major or St. Paul's Outside the Walls. 

            Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 9 - ROME

            Mass in the Crypt Chapels of St. Peter's Basilica, followed by a tour of

            this magnificent  home to the world's Roman Catholics.  A special tour to the Scavi

            reveals the catacombs  under the basilica, including the Tomb of St.Peter.  A free

            afternoon gives you time to visit  the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, or

            shop in the Borgo Pio.  Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 10 - ROME

            If it's Wednesday, join pilgrims from around the world at the

            Weekly Audience of the Holy Father.

            In the afternoon, have a tour and Mass in at either St.Peter in Chains or San

            Clemente before a special farewell dinner with music and overnight.

Day 11 - ROME - USA

            Bid "Ciao" to Roma!  After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flights to the USA.
