13 DAYS in ASSISI, DUBROVNIK, MEDJUGORJE, ROME DAY 1 - DEPART USA Gather for departure on our overnight flight to Italy. DAY 2 - ASSISI Breakfast on board before we arrive in Rome. After Passport Control and Customs, we‘ll relax in our comfortable deluxe bus for the drive through the Umbrian Hills to Assisi, the town of St. Francis and St. Clare Tour the town made famous by the saints and have time to wander in its quaint streets and shops before we check into our hotel. DAY 3 - ASSISI - DUBROVNIK Celebrate Mass at the Tomb of St. Francis and then have time to enjoy Assisi before we return to Fumicino Airport for our evening Croatian Airlines flight to Dubrovnik. After Passport Control, we’ll transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight. DAY 4 THROUGH DAY 8 - DUBROVNIK - MEDJUGORJE Celebrate Mass in the Cathedral of Dubrovnik and have an opportunity to see some of of this Adriatic seaside city which is world famous for its beauty. Enjoy the countryside on our trip up to Medjugorje where our local guide will help plan our daily activities. Follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Pray before the statue which commemorates the spot where Our Lady first appeared. At 5:00 PM each evening, you’re invited to join the villages and pilgrims to pray an International Rosary. You may wish to stay for the Croatian Mass and Blessing of the Sick which follows. Have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. This Cross contains a relic from the actual Cross of Christ given to the villagers by the Pope. NOTE: Contingent upon his schedule, we will visit Father Jozo's parish and attend his highly inspirational talk. When the apparitions began in 1981, Father Jozo was the pastor of St James parish and we hope that he will be available while we are there. DAY 9 - MEDJUGORJE - ROME Celebrate Mass in St.James and have time for farewell prayers before we depart in late afternoon on Croatia Airlines from Split for Rome, arriving in time for dinner and overnight. DAY 10 - ROME Mass at St. Peter’s and then time for personal prayer in our ‘home away from home’ parish. In the afternoon, discover the richness of the ancient city through a very special walking tour which traces our Catholic history in ancient Rome . DAY 11 - ROME Mass at St. Maria Maggorie, a short tour and time to bring together our experiences of Mary’s Messages in the largest basilica dedicated to The Virgin in the world. After lunch, visit the other major basilicas: St. John Lateran with the Holy Stairs, and St. Paul’s Outside the Walls. DAY 12 - ROME Mass in our little chapel before A FREE AFTERNOON for your own pursuits – maybe take in the Vatican Museum, or stroll through the Borgehese Gardens! A lovely farewell dinner with music this evening. DAY 13 - DEPART FOR HOME Arrivaderci Roma! Time to say goodbye and take our flight home with many memories to Give Thanks and Remember!
