Preliminary ITINERARY
Sunday 6 October 2024. Depart Dulles airport in evening.
Monday 7 October 2024 Arrive in Vienna and transfer to flight to Venice. After Passport Control, meet our Italian Tour Escort and driver and depart for Padua where Father will celebrate Mass in the Basilica of Saint Anthony. Time for prayer at the Tomb of the Saint before we have a lunch break. In the afternoon visit the Scrovegni Chapel to see the Giotto frescoes that began a revolution of mural painting and influenced frescoes for a century. Check into our hotel for dinner and 4 overnights.) D
Tuesday, 8 October 2024 After breakfast, depart for Venice. Take Vaporetto 1 to St.Mark Square: and enter St. Mark’s Basilica where Father will celebrate Mass. Enjoy a tour of Venice to include The Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto. Free time to discover the Doge’s Palace or take a gondola ride on an optional tour, or shop. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Wednesday, 9 October 2024. After breakfast, return to Venice and depart on a private motor launch ride from Bay of Venice to Murano to see glass masters, and then to Burano to see needle lacework. Father will celebrate Mass in Murano and you’ll have Free time at each place for shopping. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Thursday, 10 October 2024 Depart for Verona and tour the medieval old town between; the Adige River, visiting the Arena di Verona, Piazza Dante, Juliet’s balcony, and Piazza Erbe. Father will celebrate Mass before returning to hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Friday, 11 October 2024 After breakfast, depart South for Ravenna. Enjoy a wonderful tour of Ravenna. Father will celebrate Mass and we’ll visit the Basilica of St. Apollanare Nuovo, the Basilica of San Vitale and Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and St. Andrew’s Chapel. Continue to Parma for dinner and two overnights. BD
Saturday, 12 October 2024 After breakfast, a day to taste and see! Father will celebrate Mass and then we’ll see where Parmigiano Reggiano is produced. Enjoy a tour and tasting in one of the Parmigiano Reggiano Factories and enjoy an included lunch at the Prosciuttificio di Parma. We;ll also experience Balsamic production and tasting! Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BLD
Sunday, 13 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for a short tour of Bologna: Piazza Maggiore and the Two Towers, area with free time for lunch before we depart South towards Montecantini where we’ll check into our hotel in Tuscany for 4 nights. BD
Monday, 14 October 2024 After breakfast, depart for Pisa to see Duomo, Baptistry and Leaning Tower. Father will celebrate Mass and you’ll have some free time before we return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Tuesday, 15 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for a tour of Florence to include: Ponte Vecchio. Duomo, Baptistry, David at Academia, Piazza della Signoria. Father will celebrate Mass in Basilica di Santa Croce and you’ll have free time for shopping. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Wednesday 16 October 2024. After breakfast, tour of Siena, birthplace of Saint Catherine, doctor of The Church. Father will celebrate Mass in the Basilica of St. Francis before our Tour and you’ll have Free time for lunch and shopping. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. BD
Thursday, 17 October 2024. After breakfast, we depart for Milan. A tour of Visit Maria de la Grazie to see Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper before Father celebrates Mass. Check into our hotel for 2 nights and have dinner. BD
Friday, 18 October 2024. After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Milan. Visit the Gallaria and Opera before touring Duomo where Father will celebrate Mass, then Time for shopping before our Farewell dinner and overnight Milan BD
Saturday, 19 October 2024 Depart for USA.
