Proposed Itinerary for a Different Pilgrimage

Sunday 12 NOV Depart Dulles on direct flight to Tel Aviv on United 72 (see important note)
Monday 13 NOV Arrive in Tel Aviv at 4:30 PM and drive North along the Mediterranean to Haifa, stopping at Aqueduct if possible. Dinner and overnight.
Tuesday 14 NOV After breakfast, see the Bahai Temple and Gardens and depart for Akko. Tour of the ancient port city to include Crusader Fortress and Tunnels, Al-Jazzare Mosque and Citadel, the Khan al-Umdan. Lunch break. Drive Southwest to Cana where Father will celebrate Mass and renew Wedding Vows. Continue to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.
Wednesday 15 NOV After breakfast, depart to sail on the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit and time for prayer. Stop at the Mount of Beatitudes for prayer. Continue to Betsaida to see the ruins of the town that St Peter, Andrew and Philippi came from. Jesus reportedly restored a blind man’s sight at a place just outside the ancient village of Bethsaida. He miraculously feeds five thousand near here. Continue to the ancient Jewish settlement of Safed, is the highest city in Israel, dating back to the Temple Period. This “City of Kabbalah” was established in the 16th century by rabbinic scholars and other Jews who were fleeing from the Spanish Inquisition. Lunch on your own. Later stop at Tabgha where Jesus multiples the loaves and fishes and at the Franciscan Magdala (home of Mary Magdalene) where Father will celebrate Mass. Return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.
Thursday 16 NOV Mass at the Church of the Annunciation. After breakfast, depart for Bet She’an. Tour the extensive archaeological site where King Saul and his 3 sons heads were. placed on the walls of the city after they were defeated on Mount Gilboa by the Philistines. Continue South to the Jordan Baptismal site to renew our promises before we stop for lunch. Continue South to Ein Gedi for dinner and overnight.
Friday 17 NOV After breakfast, have personal time to hike some of the Ein Gedi trails or ‘float’ in the Dead Sea. Depart for Bethlehem and lunch. Visit to the Grotto of the Nativity. Father will celebrateMass in Jerome’s Cell. Time in Shepherd’s Field and depart for Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.
Saturday 18 NOV After breakfast, Mass in the Cenacle then depart to visit Herodian. After lunch tour the Israeli Museum. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Sunday 19 NOV After breakfast, Mass in Gethsamane before our tour of the City of David and the Pool of Silowan. Lunch break and walk through Jewish Quarter to Christian Quarters. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem
Monday 20 NOV Mass in the Holy Sepulcher. FREE DAY. Special farewell dinner before going to the airport.
Tuesday 21 NOV Depart at 12:20 AM on UA73 and arrive in Dulles at 6:05 AM.
This pilgrimage will only have maximum 12 pilgrims. Each pilgrim must make their own flight arrangements **
