SUN. 5 Jan 2020 Depart on Lufthansa from Dulles in the evening Dinner and movie on board.
MON. 6 Jan 2020 Arrive Amman, Jordan in the morning. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Amman
TUE. 7 Jan 2020 Hotel breakfast and then depart for Madaba to see the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land before visiting Mount Nebo, overlooking the Promised Land. Father will celebrate Mass and then continue on the King’s Highway to Petra. Dinner and overnight just outside the entrance to Petra.
WED, 8 Jan 2020 After breakfast at the hotel, experience Petra with a professional local guide. Learn about this world heritage site of the Nabatean Kingdom from the 4th Century B.C. Depart for dinner and overnight in Amman.
THR, 9 Jan 2020 After breakfast at the hotel, depart to visit Jerash (Roman/Greco Decapolis city). Continue north to cross into Israel on the Sheik Hussein Bridge. Dinner and overnight on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
FRI, 10 Jan 2020 After a full Israeli breakfast, depart by boat across Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha and the Primacy before enjoying included lunch. Visit the city of Magdala which was recently unearthed to discover an ancient synagogue of the first century. Father will celebrate Mass before we return to our Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
SAT, 11 Jan 2020 After a full Israeli breakfast, visit the Wedding Town of Cana, the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, including the museum and caves. Enjoy the included lunch before going to Mount Tabor, site of the Transfiguration, where Father will celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
SUN, 12 Jan 2020 After a full Israeli breakfast, depart driving South through Samaria, stopping at Jacob’s Well before continuing to Bethlehem and the included lunch. Tour the oldest Christian church in the world before going to Shepherd’s Field Where Father will celebrate Mass. Have time in one of their famous olive wood shops before checking into our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
MON, 13 Jan 2020 After a full Israeli breakfast, depart for the Western Wall. Every Monday and Thursday, young Jewish boys celebrate their Bar Mitzvah at this special place. After some time to pray at The Wall, we enter into the Temple Mount area to see the gold Dome of the Rock and learn the history of the special place revered by Jews, Moslems and Christians. As we leave, visit Pools of Bethesda and the crusader church of St. Anne’s (with perfect acoustics). After lunch, visit St. Peter in Gallicantu and David’s Tomb, and the Upper Room on Mount Zion. Father will celebrate Mass in the Cenacle before we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
TUE, 14 Jan 2020 After a full Israeli breakfast, start at the top of the Mount of Olives and walk down to the French Carmelite Convent of the Pater Noster, then continue to the Franciscan property of Domus Flevit before coming to Gethsamane where Father will celebrate Mass. After lunch, walk the Via Dolorosa carrying a cross to the Holy Sepulchre. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
WED, 15 Jan 2020 Mass in the Tomb of Our Lord before breakfast. Depart for the Jordan River to renew Baptismal promises. Stop in Jericho to see the Mount of Temptations and the Sycamore Tree before we drive south to Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Stop to float in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem. In the evening, enjoy a Mid-East Feast in a Beduoin Tent! Overnight in Jerusalem
THR, 16 JAN 2020 After breakfast, drive to Ein Karim, the village where we remember John the Baptist birth, and The Visitation. Father will celebrate Mass before we stop for lunch. FREE AFTERNOON. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Fri, 17 JAN 2020 Depart from Tel Aviv in the morning. Arrival in Dulles in the afternoon
