PRELIMINARY ITINERARY
Sunday 6 October 2024. Depart Dulles airport in evening. Dinner and overnight on board.
Monday 7 October 2024 Arrive in Milan in morning. Short Panoramic tour . Father will celebrate May at Sant’Ambrogio. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Tuesday, 8 October 2024 After breakfast,, depart for Verona. Tour city: Arena di Verona, Piazza Dante, Juliet’s balcony, Piazza Erbe. After lunch break, drive to Spiazzi to visit Basilica Madonna della Corona which Father will celebrate Mass. Enjoy beautiful view of Lake Garda (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight in Verona.
Wednesday, 9 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for Venice. Take Vaporetto 1 to St.Mark Square: tour of Venice to include Doge’s Palace & St.Mark’s Basilica. Some free time. Enjoy a Gondola ride and some free time for shopping. Father will celebrate Mass before we depart for the hotel. Dinner and overnight near Venice.
Thursday, 10 October 2024 After breakfast, return to Venice and depart for motor launch ride from Bay of Venice to Murano to see glass masters, and then to Burano to see needle lacework. Free time at each place for shopping and eating. Return to Venice and depart for Padua. Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church and tour of Scrovegni Chapel. Dinner and overnight near Venice.
Friday, 11 October 2024 After breakfast, depart South for Ravenna, stopping at the magnificent Dominican Monastery Abazzia di Praglia on way. Dinner and overnight in Ravenna.
Saturday, 12 October 2024 After breakfast, enjoy a wonderful tour of Ravenna. Mass in Basilica of St.Apollanare in Classe. Visit Basilica of San Vitale and Galla Placidia. Free time. Dinner and overnight in Ravenna.
Sunday, 13 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for Bologna. Mass at Church of St.Dominic, a short tour of the university before we continue to Florence for dinner and overnight.
Monday, 14 October 2024 After breakfast, tour of Florence to include: Ponte Vecchio. Duomo, Baptistry, David at Academia, Piazza della Signoria. Some free time for shopping. Mass in Basilica di Santa Croce. Dinner and overnight in Florence.
Tuesday, 15 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for Pisa to see Duomo, Baptistry and Leaning Tower. Continue to the walled city of Lucca Dinner and Overnight in vicinity.
Wednesday 16 October 2024. After breakfast, tour of Lucca. Free time and an opportunity for a wine tour or cooking class in area. Dinner and overnight same as 8 October.
Thursday, 17 October 2024. After breakfast, depart for Parma. Mass in Baptistry and visit to Duomo. Tour of Parmigiano-Reggiano factory and Prosciuttificio Parma Hamm and Coppa di Parma. Tour of either Castello di Bari or Rocco San Vitale. Dinner and overnight near Milan.
Friday, 18 October 2024. After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Milan. Visit the Duomo where Father will celebrate Mass, then Santa Maria delle Grazie to see Leonardo’s Last Supper. Time for shopping before our Farewell dinner and overnight same as 10 October.
Saturday, 19 October 2024 Depart for USA.
