Depart from Dulles Airport in the afternoon on United Airlines
WED 15 MAY 19
After arriving at Dublin International Airport at 10AM. Meet our driver/guide, then travel southwest to Killarney, stopping on the way for tea/coffee and Irish scones. A short stop in the lovely village of Adare to see the thatched roof cottages. Continue to Killarney and check into Cahernane Manor Dinner and overnight
THRU 16 MAT 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing for a scenic drive along the Dingle Peninsula. In County Kerry, visit Gallanus Oratorium, one of the oldest Christian stone churches in Ireland. Return to Cahernane Manor for dinner and overnight.
FRI 17 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing to take the ferry across the Shannon River. Stop at the magnificent Cliffs of Moher before going to Galway for a city tour and some free time to explore the city on your own. Dinner and overnight at the Connacht Hotel in Galway.
SAT 18 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing for a lovely drive along the Atlantic coast to Cliften, capital of Connemara. We’ll visit Kylemore Abbey before stopping at the Visitor Center at Croagh St Patrick (a short climb if you want to). Continue to Westport and check into the Castlecourt Hotel for dinner and overnight.
SUN 19 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing for departing for Ballyheane where Father will celebrate his Golden Jubilee Mass. A short reception at the church’s parish hall where we have an opportunity to meet the Costello Clan. Group continues to Knock to visit the Shrine where there was an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint John the Evangelist, angels, and Jesus Christ (the Lamb of God) in 1879. Time for personal prayer and reflection. Return to Westport for dinner and overnight.
MON 20 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing north to Drumcliffe. Visit the grave of W.E.Yeats before continuing to Donegal to visit Downings. Cross the border into Northern Ireland and continue to Monaghan. Dinner and overnight in the Four Seasons Hotel.
TUE 21 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing for city tour of Armagh, including the Cathedral on the hill overlooking the city. Continue to Dundalk where Father will celebrate Mass in the Chapel of St. Brigid before some free time to visit the site and meet the Gallagher side of the Father’s family. Drive to Dublin and check into the Hotel Camden Court. Dinner and overnight.
WED 22 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing for a city tour of Dublin in the morning. FREE AFTERNOON. Farewell dinner at the hotel.
THR 23 MAY 19
Full Irish breakfast before departing and transferring to Dublin airport for our United Airlines flight home. Arrive at Dulles at 3:45pm with memories to Give Thanks and Remember.
