Sunday 8 September 2024. Departure United Airlines flight 260 departing at 6:05 pm from Dulles to Madrid. Dinner and a movie on board.

Monday, 9 September 2024.Breakfast on board before our arrival in Madrid, Spain, at 8:05 am. After Passport Control, meet our Spanish Tour Escort and motorcoach to the Carmelite Convent La Aldehuela where Father will celebrate Mass at St. Maravillas de Jesus. Lunch on your own then continue to Avila for a tour of the Old Quarters and Casa Natal de Santa Teresa. Check into Casa Diocesana de Ejercicios de Avila for Dinner and overnight. D

Tuesday, 10 September 2024. After breakfast, Father will celebrate Mass in the Transverberation Chapel at the Incarnation Monastery in Avila before we depart for Segovia. A guided tour of the Old Quarter with the Roman Aqueduct and an exterior view of the Alcazar. Lunch on your own and then depart for San Sebastian de Garabandal. Dinner and overnight. BD

Wednesday 11 September 2024. After breakfast, we’ll have a day to reflect on the messages of Garabandal. Father will celebrate Mass at San Sebastián de Garabandal. Dinner and overnight Garabandal. BD

Thursday, 12 September 2024. After breakfast, we travel to Covadonga where Father will celebrate Mass. The shrine rose to prominence following the Battle of Covadonga in about 720, which was the first defeat of the Moors during their invasion of Spain. A statue of the Virgin Mary, hidden in one of the caves, was believed to have miraculously aided the Christian victory. The great basilica was dedicated in 1901 and now houses the statue of Our Lady of Covadonga. After time for prayer and lunch on your own, return to Garabandal for dinner and overnight. BD

Friday, 13 September 2024. After breakfast, depart for Santo Toribio de Liebana where Father will celebrate Mass ad you’ll have time to venerate the Lignum Cross, which according to Father Sandoval, chronicler of the Benedictine order, this relic corresponds to the “left arm of the Holy Cross, which Queen Helena (mother of Emperor Constantine, in the 4th century) left in Jerusalem when she discovered the crosses of Christ and the thieves. It is sawn and placed in the shape of a Cross, leaving the sacred hole where the hand of Christ was nailed.” Return to Garabandol for dinner and overnight. BD

Saturday, 14 September 2024. After breakfast, we depart for Lourdes France, stopping in Loyola where Father will celebrate Mass. After lunch on our own, continue to Lourdes and check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. You may wish to join the evening Procession. BD

Sunday, 15 September 2024. After breakfast, join pilgrims from around the world to celebrate Mass in Lourdes. After lunch on your own, a tour of sites related to Saint Bernadette: the Boly Mill, the “Cochot”, the parish church containing the Baptismal Font where she was baptized and more. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. Evening Procession. BD

Monday 16 September 2024. After breakfast, Father will celebrate Mass in the Grotto of Saint Bernadette and you will have free time today to partake of the Baths if you wish, pray the Stations of the Cross or meditate on your own. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. BD

Tuesday, 17 September 2024. Departure after breakfast for Zaragoza, Spain. A guided tour of the historical quarter and the Basilica of Our Glory of El Pilar where Father will celebrate Mass. Check into our hotel for dinner and overnight BD

Wednesday, 18 September 2024. After breakfast, departure for Madrid, stopping at Valle de los Caidos where Father will celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Madrid. BD

Thursday, 19 September 2024. After breakfast, departure for our United Airlines Flight 261 departing at 11:15 am and arrive home at 2:00 pm with many memories to Give Thanks and Remember. B
