Join Father Mark Mullaney on his 6th Pilgrimage to the Holy Lands in 2021
SUN. 31 OCT 21 Evening departure on Lufthansa. Dinner and movie on board.
MON. 1 NOV 21 Breakfast on board before arrival in Frankfurt. Transfer to Lufthansa flight to Jordan and arrive Amman in the afternoon. Mass in local church then transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Amman.
TUE. 2 NOV 21 Hotel breakfast and then depart for Mount Nebo where Father will celebrate Mass and we will look over the Promised Land as Moses did. Stop at Madaba to see the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land before we continue on the King’s Highway to Petra. Dinner and overnight in our hotel just outside the entrance to Petra.
WED. 3 NOV 21 After breakfast at the hotel, experience Petra with a professional local guide. Learn about this world heritage site of the Nabatean Kingdom from the 4th Century B.C. Father will celebrate Mass in the hotel before dinner. Overnight in Petra.
THR. 4 NOV 21 After breakfast at the hotel, depart north on the King’s highway to visit Jerash (Roman/Greco Decapolis city). Continue north to cross into Israel on the Sheik Hussein Bridge. Continue to Nazareth to check into Casa Nova. Father will celebrate Mass before dinner and overnight.
FRI. 5 NOV 21 After breakfast, depart by boat across Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha and the Primacy before enjoying included lunch. Visit the city of Magdala which was recently unearthed to discover an ancient synagogue of the first century. Father will celebrate Mass in their beautiful chapel. Return to Nazareth for Dinner and overnight .
SAT. 6 BOV 21 Father will celebrate Mass in the Grotto of the Church of the Annunciation before breakfast, then we’ll visit the rest of the upper church, the museum and St. Joseph’s Chapel before walking through the town to St. Mary’s Well in the Greek Orthodox church. Stop for our included lunch the continue to the Wedding Town of Cana, where Father will renew the wedding vows of our couples. End the day on Mount Tabor, site of the Transfiguration. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.
SUN. 7 NOV 21 After breakfast, depart to drive to Caesarea Maritime, and tour the ancient Roman city by the Mediterranean Sea. Continue to Bethlehem for the Included lunch before we tour the oldest Christian church in the world. Have time in one of their famous olive wood shops before checking into our hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
MON. 8 NOV 21 After a full Israeli breakfast, depart for the Western Wall. Ever Monday and Thursday, young Jewish boys celebrate their Bar Mitzvah at this special place. After some time to pray at The Wall, we enter into the Temple Mount area to see the gold Dome of the Rock and learn the history of the special place revered by Jews, Moslems and Christians. As we leave, visit the Probatic Pools and the crusader church of St. Anne’s (with perfect acoustics). After lunch, we’ll spend the afternoon at the Israeli Museum before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
TUE. 9 NOV 21 After a full Israeli breakfast, start at the top of the Mount of Olives and walk down to the French Carmelite Convent of the Pater Noster, then continue to the Franciscan property of Domus Flevit before coming to Gethsamane. After lunch, visit St. Peter in Gallicantu and David’s Tomb, and the Upper Room on Mount Zion and then walk thru the Armenian Quarter to the Holy Sepulchre. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
WED, 10 NOV 21 After a full Israeli breakfast, enjoy a FREE DAY in Jerusalem. Or join the group going south to Massada and then stopping to float in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem. In the evening, we’ll go back to Bethlehem for our Farewell Feast. Overnight in Jerusalem
THR. 11 NOV 21 A free day in Jerusalem. Enjoy!
FRI. 12 NOV 21. Depart from Tel Aviv on LH 695 at 8:00 am. Arrival in Frankfurt at 11:40 am. Depart from Frankfurt on LH 418 at 12:50 PM. Arrival in Dulles at 3:40 PM
